Ayanna Gaines and Monika Ramirez Wee will chat with each other about their experiences as women of color living, working, and worshiping in predominantly white communities. Of particular focus will be an examination of Wholeness. How can you be yourself when others don’t want you to be? What does it mean to be Whole, individually, spiritually, and as a church community?

In this service, poets from our congregation reflect on the meaning and possibility of words to evoke and influence change.

Experience and science have shown how powerful music can be in evoking in us memories. Sometimes. these memories are near the surface of our recall ability, others are deeply buried. Do we as people share the same memories of the same songs? What happens when we don’t?
